Options market structure, made readable.
SPX Regime turns the daily S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 option chain into a dealer-positioning map: where hedging flows are likely to dampen moves, where they are likely to amplify them, and which levels matter this week.

Where the tape changes character
The price at which net dealer gamma flips sign, found by repricing the whole chain across a grid of spot levels. Above it, hedging tends to absorb moves; below it, to extend them.
Walls from unmatched open interest
Levels are read from one-sided open interest in the dominant monthly expiry, not from gross totals that box trades and financing spreads inflate.
Gamma exposure by strike and expiry
Net and cumulative gamma exposure, split by this week, the next monthly expiry, year-end and the full book.
Bands you can check afterwards
Daily and weekly one-sigma bands from implied volatility, with each level placed on the same scale.
Flows that come with time and vol
How much hedging pressure builds simply because days pass or implied volatility moves.
A written briefing with a scorecard
Each weekly issue states its scenarios with probabilities. The next issue scores them — misses are printed as plainly as hits.
How it is built
- Collected on a schedule. Every trading day the full option chain is pulled after the official open-interest release, so prices and positions describe the same close.
- Archived raw. Nothing is overwritten silently; each snapshot records which data release it came from.
- Computed by one engine. A single calculation contract defines every metric; the dashboard and the written issue read the same published state file.
- Audited before it ships. Method changes go through a written decision ledger and an independent review. Every published number can be reproduced from a tagged version of the code.
